Routine Exams & Wellness Visits
Your Pet’s Health, Year After Year
Regular check-ups are essential for your pet’s long-term health. Even if your pet seems perfectly healthy, annual wellness exams can help catch potential issues early, making them easier to treat—or even prevent altogether. These routine visits provide peace of mind and ensure your pet continues to thrive year after year.
-
Our annual wellness visits are designed to be thorough, supportive, and tailored to your pet’s unique needs. A typical visit includes:
- A full nose-to-tail physical exam
- Weight check and body condition scoring
- Discussion of lifestyle, nutrition, and behavior
- Dental health evaluation
- Vaccination review and updates as needed
- Parasite prevention planning
- Bloodwork, urinalysis, or fecal testing (especially in senior pets or if changes are noted)
- Time to talk – bring your questions, big or small!
These appointments are also a chance to track changes over time—sometimes subtle trends (like gradual weight gain or changes in lab values) can tell us a lot about your pet’s health.
-
Pets age much faster than we do—on average, one year for a pet is equivalent to about 5–7 human years. A lot can change in that time!
Yearly visits help us:
- Catch health issues before symptoms appear
- Monitor chronic conditions like arthritis, allergies, or dental disease
- Ensure vaccines and parasite prevention are up to date
- Detect subtle changes that might indicate early disease
- Keep your pet feeling their best at every stage of life
For senior pets (typically over 7 years old), we may recommend more frequent lab work to catch age-related conditions sooner.
